yes, I am smart, but it doesn´t take much smarts to realize this Benin thing was a una estafa, a scam, like those Nigerian money scams, only the theives have moved into other west african countries. All the the emails were suspicious, they were too urgent sounding, saying we must send 1,950 euros immediately so that the "health authority" can process our "product registration". I wanted to speak to a real person but of course none of the telephone numbers connected, and we I finally did speak to the "lawyer" they refered us to, he made me uneasy. I did some quick research on the web to find out about this scam--they find the name of the company in an internet market, like Greentrade.net and then they prey on you. But I was not to be fooled oh no, all these people work together to steal money from small, honest, unsuspecting, non internet or email savvy businessmen, like Jaume. But not while I´m in the office they won´t.
